Paige Saunders - Montreal

Paige is a Montreal‑based advocacy journalist, video producer, and communicator whose work spans reporting, commentary, and video essays on housing, transit, urban issues, and political reform. He writes commentary for outlets such as The Hub, Narcity, CBC. On his YouTube channel he creates explanatory videos and documentary‑style content aimed at making technocratic issues accessible to a broad audience, demystifying planning and policy challenges.

Beyond journalism and media, Paige plays an active role in civic and community‑organizing. He helped found the local YIMBY group Construisons Montréal, advocating for increased housing supply and development in Montreal. In 2023 he co-founded FediHost a Canada‑based hosting company for fediverse services to support Canadian digital sovereignty and build independent, domestic internet infrastructure.

He created Canadian Civil originally to connect isolated YouTubers and audiences during the pandemic culminating with the in-person Canadian Civil Alive in 2021 to celebrate the end of a difficult year. It has since turned into a recurring urban‑reform event series that brings together creators, advocates, and citizens from around the world to discuss housing, transit, and reforms.

Patrick and Jasmine are Montreal based urban‑issues content creators who run the YouTube channel Oh The Urbanity!, producing video and written content that explores urban design, active mobility, housing affordability and urban policy. Based in Montreal but with an international focus, they traverse cities by bike, foot, and public transit documenting streetscapes, transit systems, and demographic and planning data to make complex urban issues accessible and engaging.

In addition to their own channel, their work has appeared on CBC and reflects a well reasoned, research and fact based approach to urbanism which connects their lived experience to evidence‑based urban planning. Data analysis, honesty and academic rigour are stand out features of the work of Oh The Urbanity.

They offer critical commentary on pressing issues like housing supply, transit infrastructure, cycling infrastructure, and city design — helping audiences rethink how cities can be more livable, equitable, and sustainable.
